PUBLIC ART AND LARGE SCALE WORKS

GAUDI REVISITED: KIRKLAND, WA 2004

This is an outdoor wall in Kirkland that overlooks Lake Washington. The first photo is the side facing the house.  Approximately 50’long x 6’tall x  4’ wide at firepit.  Porcelain tiles with handmade copper accents. Private Commission.  I created the main motifs away from the site on mesh and installed them on site with a tile setter from Art Tile. Co.  Then the tile setter filled in the background pieces to my specifications. This mosaic is a modern day interpretation of the movement and color to be found in the architectural works of Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona.
